Elegant Baby Burnous, Embellished with Subtle and Refined Details

The burnous, a traditional attire prevalent for centuries, was conceived by the Berbers to counteract the chill of the desert nights. It was initially a very fine, lightweight woollen coat. Its enveloping style and pointed hood provide both warmth and comfort to the wearer, without restricting movement. Bonpoint, renowned for its high-end baby clothes, has reinterpreted the concept of the burnous. Now a key piece of our winter collection, it exemplifies the singular craftsmanship inherent to our House.

We present a high-end version of the burnous, crafted from noble and sustainable materials. A hybrid of cape and waistcoat, this elegant garment swaddles infants in a cocoon of warmth and softness. Besides their classic, timeless design, our newborn burnous are meticulously detailed. Features include an unobtrusive fastening at the back, a modest patch pocket on the side, and mother-of-pearl buttons at the base of the hood. These charming details infuse each design with a touch of individuality and sophistication.

Cosy Clothing for Effortless Dressing of Little Ones

Crafted from gentle, natural fabrics, Bonpoint burnous provide unrivalled warmth and comfort for little boys and girls. Whether made from cashmere or wool, or a blend of wool, yak and cashmere, these materials are tender on the fragile skin of newborns and infants, while ensuring outstanding longevity for the garment. To prevent any discomfort, they also feature high-quality stitching and meticulous detailing.

Beyond safeguarding babies from the cold and draughts, our newborn burnous simplify the task of dressing them during winter. Thanks to a zip opening at the back, these garments can be slipped on and off swiftly, rapidly becoming an essential part of the smallest ones' wardrobes, who often can't wait to get off their changing tables! Some styles even come with kangaroo pockets, perfect for keeping tiny hands warm.

Essential Additions to Your Baby's Winter Wardrobe

Bonpoint offers an array of newborn burnous. To effortlessly dress all little boys and girls as winter sets in, they are provided in all sizes (from 3 months to 2 years).

In hues of mottled brown, creamy white or sweet plum... our burnous, presented in soft and timeless colours, seamlessly blend with other items in your toddler's wardrobe. Ideal for casual everyday activities, like a leisurely stroll in the pram or an outing to the park. Certain designs can equally serve for more formal occasions! A creamy white burnous, for instance, exudes particular elegance when paired with a romper fashioned from woven voile.

While Bonpoint maintains traditional and authentic sewing techniques, we also remain at the cutting edge of the latest trends and innovations in children's fashion. With our longstanding commitment to ethical and responsible practices, we implement sustainable manufacturing processes and prioritise the use of wholesome and natural materials.

Our garments continue to be cherished and passed down from generation to generation, gracefully elevating all the magical moments of childhood.
